Recommend the carvery. Excellent value. You can even get chicken n leek or steak n ale pie with it. Three different sized meals suiting all tastes.

This is what I would normally describe as a 'family friendly pub/restaurant '. Usually we steer clear of this type of pub, but Chapelford solves the problem of noisy children and annoyed customers by separate areas for adults only. Menu choice is pretty good, food standard is good, wines excellent, beer choice is pretty good too. Staff are courteous and most helpful. Also they offer a separate buffet at lower prices, to be fair their prices are good anyway.

Fabulous. So warm and comfy. Big cakes and a brew. What more could you want?! The cakes were tasty, but had to cake away the rest.

Unclean tables, and the food area was also not clean. Staff were rude. Saw customers using utensils on meat and then on the vegetables on the carvery and one man poured meat gravy into the vegetarian gravy. Having allergies myself, I reported this to the staff. The chef changed the vegetables and gravy over and got clean utensils but had I not seen that, I could have been hospitalised. So the carvery at this place is most definitely not suitable for vegetarians or people with allergies. They need separate areas for vegetarian/dietary requirement and for meat to avoid cross contamination as at the moment their current set up is unhygienic and very high risk of allergies. First time we've ever been here and will never go there again. Dirty toilets as well.

Very spacious pub with different section and a homely feel. The food is affordable and tasty. Choice of snacks, main meals including carvery and a beautiful display of gigantic cakes and ice creams to choose from. The staff is attentive and friendly. Will go back.
